I'm Victoria Lynn on HubPages, also known as Vicki L. Hodges. My mom came close to naming me Victoria, which I wished she had. I love that name, so now I am claiming it and using it. The L. is my given middle name of Lynn.

I think a lot. It doesn’t always get on paper, but now it’s time. I have various interests, with a history in teaching, social work, and administration, along with writing for myself on the side. I like HubPages because it allows me to write about a variety of topics. I have a passion for food and cooking, for pets as well as human relationships, for living frugally and saving money, for poetry, for people living with dementia, and for many other things and topics.

I love words. I love language and everything about it. I'm a self-proclaimed grammar geek. If you need a refresher course in that area, check out my grammar hubs.

I've loved to write since I was a little girl. HubPages has given me an outlet for a variety of topics I enjoy. 

I'm working on my first blog, using my cats and dog as subjects. It's called coolkittycat since cats are such cool creatures. It's a work in progress!

I worked for five years at a center for abused and neglected children. In education, I taught Spanish at a local high school for three years, and have taught English Composition off and on part-time for the local community college since 1999. I worked over eleven years at a retirement facility, first as a social worker, then as the administrator over the skilled nursing facility. I also worked as an admissions coordinator at a geriatric psychiatric unit for a short time. Now I am teaching both English and Spanish part-time while trying to get my freelance writing career off the ground. Writing is my true passion, and it's time to pursue it.
