A Poem about Confusion - Trying to Find . . .
April is National Poetry Month!
Enjoy Day 19 of National Poetry Month. Remember to support your fellow hubbers in their poetic efforts. Write your own poems and share!
Desperate Confusion
It’s kind of like waking up in the morning
And finding your bed has been switched
To the other side of the room…
Or drinking orange juice after brushing your teeth
Or living in a maze—
Of disorientation
Mindless meditation
Of foolish games
Meaningless names
Empty faces
Hollow places.
This is another A.M. Poem
The "A.M. Poems" are those I write in the wee hours of the mornings. Often these poetic pieces are random ramblings that ask questions and don't always get answers.
- Foolish Babbling - a Nonsense Poem
Writing into the night is something writers often do. From my spiral notebook of "The A.M. Poems," "Foolish Babbling" speaks of the need to stop writing...and rest.
Whirls of dust
and rain and rust.
A cloudy haze
Of bloodless days.
No color or life
Or end of this strife.
No understanding,
Thoughts demanding
Searching so much
With diligent touch
Desperately to find
The end of time.
