Printer Ink is Expensive!

Yes, printer ink is expensive. Sometimes, sadly, the most expensive part of having a printer is buying those darn replacement ink cartridges. Over time, I have learned to check out the what replacing the ink cartridges is going to cost me in the not too distant future before deciding yea or nay regarding the purchase of a particular printer. Overly expensive ink cartridges can be a deal breaker. It's really sad when the cost of replacing the cartridge is more than what is paid for the printer. Yet sometimes that happens. I have learned to move on when I see that red flag!

I have found a solution to over-priced printer ink over time. Now I only order online when replacing my printer ink. There are a couple of companies I have used and have found to be reputable. I can save hundreds of dollars per year this way just on printer ink--enough to replace my printer if it breaks down. I am sold on using online ink cartridge replacement stores.

Ink Cartridges Can Cost as Much as the Printer!

When I was younger and poorer, and in need of a printer, I would look for the cheapest. I remember buying a $29 printer. Perfect for me and my budget, huh? It was great for a while, until I needed to replace the ink, which literally cost as much as the purchase price of the printer. So what did I do? I would buy another printer and get rid of the old one. Why not? I was going to pay another nearly $30 for ink and put it in a used printer, so why not just get a newer one?

This plan worked for a while, until I got tired of setting up a new printer every time I needed to replace the ink cartridges. Surely there was a better way!

Review of 4InkJets

I have also bought ink cartridges from 4InkJets. I had no trouble with them, either, and their prices were comparable. I can't recall more specific details about these since I have ordered more from DoubleInks, but I think this site is definitely worth checking out.

Review of DoubleInks Ink Cartridges

Not too long ago, I bought the printer of my dreams: an Epson Workforce all-in-one printer. It prints wirelessly from my laptop, copies and scans, and it would even fax if I could ever get around to setting that up. Basically, it does everything I want.

When the time came to replace the ink cartridges, I balked. $89 (plus tax) for four cartridges (black, cyan, magenta, and yellow)! That was about what I had paid for the printer. I thought those days were over.

I remembered seeing an email offer from DoubleInks, so, after buying the expensive ink cartridges, I looked up DoubleInks. I think the first time I paid around $13.99 for two cartridges. So, for a whopping $26 plus shipping, I could get four ink cartridges. When I figured it out, the total cost came to less than a third of what I would have to pay for the brand name ink. I ordered from DoubleInks and returned the expensive printer ink to the store. In a few days, my printer ink cartridges arrived in the mail.

Installing the no-name ink cartridges was simple, and the cartridges seem to last as long as did the original name brand ink. Even if they were to only last half as long, paying about 1/3rd of the price is worth it!

Save even more on printer ink cartridges

Even without additional discounts, ink cartridges from DoubleInks or 4InkJets will save you lots. Next time I order I plan to use these any online coupons to save even more. So make sure you looks for coupons for on 4InkJets and some other ink options. It's time to load up on some ink cartridges!
