Unique Personalized Theme Easter Basket Ideas for a Fun Holiday
Easter Baskets for Kids
Many parents give Easter baskets to their children for gifts every year on the holiday. Generally, these aren’t just ordinary Easter baskets but rather decorative baskets filled with not only candy, but various toys that usually include a stuffed animal, perhaps a bunny, of some sort.
Stuffing an empty basket full of items that go with a theme is a lot of fun—for both the giver and the recipient. Sometimes it can be difficult to figure out exactly what theme to go with, but I have come across some great ideas as there are actually places you can order from that will put the basket together for you. Here are some examples from Mygofer, an online website with more ideas than I could possibly come up with myself.
Easter Bunny Theme
The Easter bunny theme is a simple one but very popular. Just stuff a couple of plush Easter bunnies of different sizes in a basket, along with plastic eggs, candy, and various toys, and you’ve got yourself one nice Easter bunny basket.
Mygofer has various assortments of bunny baskets, so you can shop for the option that best fits your budget. All are sure to please.
Pets Theme
Does your child like dogs? What about a darling puppy playset? This basket comes with a puppy along with his own brush and comb. Kids can put on his fashion collar and dress him (or her) up in several dress-up clothes that are included in the basket. That sounds like fun! And of course there is candy in this basket, too.
I saw a cute frog-themed basket but couldn’t find a kitty playset? However, there are the cutest Hello Kitty Easter baskets that would be fun for you to fill yourself with a stuffed kitty and accessories to go with it.
Music Theme
How about a basket where the main item is headphones? If you’re an M&M lover, there is an a set with that theme. I also saw a cute Scooby Doo set. This could be a fun one!
Automotive Theme
Does your boy like playing with cars and trucks? I wouldn’t count the girls out on this one, either. I remember loving to make little roads out in the backyard in the dirt to drive our little Hot Wheels. Even in the kitchen on the vinyl floor we would make highways and roads. Some of my niece’s first words were “big truck” as she would point at one hurrying along the highway.
How fun would a basket be loaded with cars and trucks of all sizes? Stickers and candy, too! I might have to jump in and play right along with the kids on this one.
Sports Theme
An outdoor sports theme is perfect for springtime, as the weather warms and kids are ready to get outside. A basket with outdoor toys such as flying discs (aka Frisbees) and jumbo sidewalk chalk are excellent outdoor toys. Balls and paddles are also included, and, of course, candy. There are baskets for both girls and boys, with the girls’ baskets just having more of a pink theme.
Even better might be the sports ball theme. These baskets are big enough to include three different balls: basketball, soccer ball, and a general outdoor ball. Also included is a jump rope, jumbo chalk, and a water bottle, to name a few things. And, of course, the candy. That’s a given.
There’s even more—Major League baseball themed baskets! I saw the New York Yankees, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Chicago Cubs. I’ll be looking for my St. Louis Cardinals.
Disney Theme
We can’t go wrong with a Disney theme. Many of these baskets are soft and plush, filled with toys to fit the theme. For example, the Winnie the Pooh basket has character stamps and eggs.
The pink princess basket also has a few toys to go with the princess theme. Check out the Disney section to find a plush red Elmo and more.
Baby's First Easter Basket
This is one of my favorite Easter basket themes. The boy’s basket is green and comes with a soft elephant and blanket. A photo frame says, “My First Easter.” This is so cute!
The girl’s basket has the same items, except the theme is pink (no surprise there) and the toy is a bunny. These baskets are really adorable.
Miscellaneous Easter Baskets to Fill on Your Own
If you can’t find what you want in pre-filled themed Easter baskets, you can always put together your own. Mygofer has an impressive selection of plastic, tin, and plush baskets, many starting at under $6.00. Of course, there are the Disney ones, from Minnie Mouse to Cars to Monsters. There is Spiderman and SpongeBob SquarePants, Star Wars, Dora the Explorer, and Barbie, to name several. Then there is, of course, my favorite, Hello Kitty. I would take that one in plastic, tin, or plush! And I just may.
